Recent work

Thought it was about time I added a little of my newest pieces I've worked on. Above are 2 ATCs for a Dragonfly/Butterfly swap I'm in and are based on a dragonfly I saw in a cave in Kakadu N.P.

Below are ATCs made for other swaps. I really love making my own backgrounds too, and having been having lots of fun playing with paint, ink and other goodies.

Pardon my ignorance CabaC but what are ATC's? The artwork is lovely but I don't know the scale or purpose of them.

I knew nothing about ATCs either Mme Benaut until Cabacurl introduced me to them.

They are great - very clever.

I'll join the queue. Please explain ... both ATCs and what it means to "swap" ... You have them in a photo album so they look about the size of a card. And the little doohickey looks like it could be made from clay.

Ah yes, thank you for all the inquiries. Yes, they are indeed the size of a playing card and all other traded cards like footy cards etc. They are swapped between artists, and mine are kept in folders that i look at, caress, swoon over etc. I belong to a Yahoo group,ATCoZ,and there is a link to it on my blog, under "Clicking on.... ATCoZ home page". Members organise swaps under themes. It's something that goes on around the world, and swaps also happen between countries. And Julie, the 'doohickey' is made from paper clay, that i stamoed and then painted and 'aged'.

Thanks for the explanation CabaC - nice to know that I'm not the only idiot out there!

Thank you for explaining - "paper clay" eh? I'll lket that go through to the keeper. It is just so important to have a hobby. As important as having friends. It is all about passion.

Lookin' great!

Sorry I have not dropped in much lately; haven't been too well - just able to maintain my own daily postings. But hopefully I am on the mend again. (Gallbladder op)

I'm thinking of joining ATC-Oz if I can fit more in!
