Camping

The little blond poppet is Caitlyn, my 3 year-old great-niece, and she had her first camping trip this weekend with her grandparents and our friends, Peter and Heather. It was for one night only but the bush telegraph reports it was great fun. Of course, she had to have her own camp chair! Wanting more photos?

She's having a wow of a time by the look of it. Sorry I haven't visited you very often lately - this election has been full on. The dining room table is STILL chockabloc with leaflets and posters and envelopes: one last push for the beginning of Term4, then it's all in the hands of fate (and people having voted!)

Looked thru your other entries quickly, and left a comment at the ATCs post - with a link to a new public album I put on Webshots, of favourite ATCs I've got from people thru swaps.

Also, re Berowra. Never been there either before that day! I was driving from Gosford to Richmond and decided to go cross-country rather than on the obvious motorway links. It was really rewarding. Such a gorgeous day, and stopovers at Brooklyn and then across on the ferry yielded heaps of photos!

Oh, and about Noosa. Only been there three times - first in 1968 as a kid, when it was just a little country town with a gorgeous beach. Then once in the mid 70s when it was really laid back and quiet and on the hippy trail if anything, and then a couple of years ago when, well, you CAN get a decent latte! The beach was too crowded and the people too pretentious - I hate streets full of people wearing "resort wear". Another gold anchor applique on a knit top.....argggggggggh. Not as bad as Surfers though!

I reckon Caitlyn has got the hang of things.
It's a wonderful land to grow up in and what a joy to start life by going camping with the 'olds'. The bush, the sea, a campfire, how wonderful is that. She'll be surfing next ? No worries at all.

Was this near Cabarita beach ?

She could be from Finland with her blond curly hair :) Blue eyes ?
Her face is telling everything about her feelings, a fine photo about the happy child.

OK, you go out but at least leave us with a lovely picture.
I've been a bit absent lately, but that was because I was abroad in a professional trip last week. One day I’ll probably show some pictures from a somehow unusual destination...
Trying to recover some time, I’m still posting on Germany (Koblenz, December 2005) on Blogtrotter. Enjoy and have a great time, wherever you may be!
